Claims Handler – Fraud

Somerset Bridge Limited provide claims handling services to our insurer partners. Our supportive and efficient claims teams handle almost 50,000 claims a year. What you’ll be doing
You’ll have your own portfolio of claims to handle through to repudiation or settlement on best terms. These claims will involve situations where our customer has damaged another driver’s property and someone has been injured and/or have been provided with a replacement vehicle on a credit basis. You’ll be investigating these claims for potential fraud. You’ll be gathering information, identifying irregularities and recommending appropriate actions. You’ll also be investigating and deciding who was responsible for the incident and if applicable liaising with the other driver’s representative to settle or repudiate their claim.
Training
Excellent training is provided! Your corporate induction will be completed in the first 8 days followed by a 10 week training programme which is all completed onsite. This will help you understand the role, give you the best start and tools in your career. You’ll have the opportunity to move to hybrid working once competent in the role.

The Data Engineer will design, build, and optimise scalable data pipelines within Azure Databricks, ensuring high-quality, reliable data is available to support pricing, underwriting, claims, and operational decision-making. This role is critical in modernising SBG’s cloud-based data infrastructure, ensuring compliance with FCA/PRA regulations, and enabling AI-driven analytics and automation.
By leveraging Azure-native services, such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) for orchestration, Delta Lake for ACID-compliant data storage, and Databricks Structured Streaming for real-time data processing, the Data Engineer will help unlock insights, enhance pricing accuracy, and drive innovation. The role also includes optimising Databricks query performance, implementing robust security controls (RBAC, Unity Catalog), and ensuring enterprise-wide data reliability.
