Senior Pricing Analyst

Compensation Up to £75,000 / year
We are recruiting for a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our Trading team. The Trading team’s main focus is on ensuring the profitability of our insurance products by maintaining the loss ratio via pricing overlays based on emerging trends, we are also responsible for making sure sales volume and average premium targets are being met by responding to changes in the market.
The successful candidate will have expert knowledge of the market and previous experience in developing and deploying pricing changes. Data science skills such as statistical machine learning applied using open source programming such as Python or R are a benefit but not a necessity. You must be an excellent communicator and have a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

The Compliance Business Partner role at Somerset Bridge Group (SBG) is designed to independently perform regulatory compliance advisory activities. This enables assurance to be given to Senior Management and the Governing Body of SBG, ensuring the company operates with integrity. The role supports the group’s ambition to deliver exceptional customer experiences every day by providing strategic support and advice to the business area, helping it grow while upholding the standards and requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
You will be a visible and accessible compliance presence for the business and key stakeholders; the go-to person for the business on compliance and integrity matters utilising your communication and influencing skills. Whilst working closely with the Compliance Assurance team and other business departments to maintain compliance with SBG policies, procedures and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

Somerset Bridge Limited provide claims handling services to our insurer partners. Our supportive and efficient claims teams handle almost 50,000 claims a year. What you’ll be doing
You’ll have your own portfolio of claims to handle through to repudiation or settlement on best terms. These claims will involve situations where our customer has damaged another driver’s property and someone has been injured and/or have been provided with a replacement vehicle on a credit basis. You’ll be investigating these claims for potential fraud. You’ll be gathering information, identifying irregularities and recommending appropriate actions. You’ll also be investigating and deciding who was responsible for the incident and if applicable liaising with the other driver’s representative to settle or repudiate their claim.
Training
Excellent training is provided! Your corporate induction will be completed in the first 8 days followed by a 10 week training programme which is all completed onsite. This will help you understand the role, give you the best start and tools in your career. You’ll have the opportunity to move to hybrid working once competent in the role.
